As Investors in People, we are committed to the safety and health of our team. We are also proud of our inclusive approach which is supported by structured communications from headquarters to site cabin and back. Every two years, Haden Young commissions an employee survey to inform and monitor our employee relations effort. The survey is used to look at various aspects of employee satisfaction, such as employee welfare, working environment, and our involvement in the community. The feedback is used to maintain the continuous improvement we aspire to.
Our understanding of customer expectations and how well these are being met is developed and monitored by continuous Customer Service Reviews and biennial surveys carried out on our behalf by third party agencies.
The sustainable approach resulting from our Environmental Management System ensures this responsibility extends to minimising any impact from our activities on the environment and the wider public.
Haden Young in common with other members of the Balfour Beatty Group support NCH - National Children's Homes. Actively promoting the cause and raising money through sweepstakes, tombolas, and participating in NCH organised events. Our people also take a very active role in charitable involvement and contributions. Many of our staff are particularly keen to raise money for various charities, mainly doing so through sporting activities. Amongst the recent donation raising achievements of our people are a gruelling 70-mile triathlon through the Scottish Highlands, 5,000 metres swims, numerous marathons and walks.
