Today Haden Young Managing Director, David Beck presented a cheque for £30,509 to Marie Curie Cancer Care. David raised the money from sponsors by swapping his boardroom and pen for a construction site and spanner when he took part in Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Back to the Shop Floor at the Birmingham New Hospital project. Modularised building services will be vital to delivering the two new hospitals which make up the £125 million order for Haden Young Northern Region.
Haden Young are joint venture partners with Balfour Beatty in this project to replace Pontefract General Infirmary and Wakefield's Pinderfields General Hospital with brand new hospitals under a £311 million construction contract.  The partnership will deliver a new acute inpatient hospital in Wakefield and a new Diagnositic and Treatment Centre in Pontefract.More Info

Haden Young and DSSR were Highly Commended for their work on Queens Hospital in Romford in the 2007 Building Services Awards. The £261 million Queen’s Hospital, which replaces two existing hospitals, is a major new landmark for Romford. 939 beds are provided in one-to-four bed wards. Queen’s Hospital was delivered on time and within budget after a 39 month construction programme.More Info
