- This is a superb opening, which will give the successful candidate the opportunity to manage the day-to-day activities for the South East area surveying team during a time of exciting growth for the business. Reporting to the Regional Surveying Manager, the role will initially be site based at Gillingham in Kent on a high spec £11m new build education project. There will subsequently be travel to various locations within the region.
Preferably a surveying degree, although an HNC/HND in a relevant discipline would be considered.
Sound working knowledge and understanding of the surveying function and the linkage of this to the business as a whole.
Sound working knowledge and understanding of risk and the identification and handling of this.
Basic knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental good practice.
Computer literacy.
Driving licence.

- This role, which reports to the Regional Productivity Manager, is new to Haden Young, and clearly demonstrates the company’s innovative and forward thinking approach.
The main purpose of the role is to take ownership of all production related issues within the project/company/regional control surrounding HS&E, labour management, planning & reporting, productivity, management of tools, materials & information, and financial accountability.
It is essential for the suitable candidate to possess good planning, time management and leadership skills. The successful candidate will have appropriate skills committed to the financial performance of the installation of productivity whilst maintaining the company's reputation and quality standards.
There will be full authority for labour expenditure up to the tender allowances in line with labour procedures. The individual will also the the line manager for site-based work study, audit and admin staff and operatives allocated to the project, and will be responsible and accountable for labout lost outcome.
Experience of working on site-based roles in the construction industry within a production environment is a must, and knowledge of the Mechanical & Electrical sector is desirable.
